The first step down the road of self-made wealth is a decision: a decision that one wants to be wealthy. If this is what you want, you have to decide RIGHT NOW that this is what you are going to pursue. Then you have to study successful and wealthy people. You have to learn what they do the same way you would learn how to do anything. Success can be studied, learned and predicted. Success is nothing more than the predictable result of learnable behavior.
The other idea that one needs to understand is that 80% of all self-made millionaires started with nothing. They did have anything but a dream and a strong desire to succeed. Many of them did not go to college and some did not even finish high school. What they did possess was a burning desire to succeed. Many of them went broke multiple times on the way up. In other words, they dealt with failure on the way to the top. Their strong belief in their ability to succeed carried them through the set-backs.
